61. Genesis Centre, Falconridge
    A 225,000-square-foot, multi-purpose complex built to enrich the health, wellness and unity of communities in northeast Calgary. It includes two indoor field houses, gymnasiums, multi-purpose spaces, meeting rooms, a community kitchen and outdoor soccer fields.


62. Glenbow Museum, Downtown
    Calgary's primary art-and-history museum, the Glenbow Museum features a few permanent exhibitions, as well as an ever-rotating schedule of travelling exhibitions.


63. Glenmore Reservoir & Park, Lakeview / Oakridge / Eagle Ridge / Bayview
    The Glenmore Reservoir provides much of Calgary's drinking water. However, it's also a popular spot for canoeing, kayaking, rowing and sailing. In North and South Glenmore Park, Calgarians can access and enjoy tennis courts, playgrounds, pathways and the popular Variety Spray Park.


64. Golf Courses, City Wide
    Calgary is home to many stunning locations for world-class golf, whether you're a pro or just getting started. The City of Calgary also operates six municipal courses where anyone can play a round or take lessons.


65. Grain Academy & Museum, Erlton (Stampede)
    A museum exploring the evolution of farming and Canada's grain-handling industry.


66. Granary Road Public Market, Rural
    This new venue south of the city includes a year-round indoor farmers market, bakery, bistro and lounge, and an active learning park.


67. Grassroots Deerfoot Farmers' Market, Huntington Hills
    Calgary's oldest farmers' market and largest outdoor seasonal farmers' market, it features 45 vendors offering a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, plants, soups, baked goods, honey, wine, pizza, breads and crafts.


68. Hangar Flight Museum, Calgary International Airport
    Discover Canada's aviation history and enjoy seeing aircraft up close while hearing the roar of a modern jet overhead. It's all displayed in a historic Second World War drill hall and outdoor hangar.


69. Have a Caesar, City Wide
    This popular Canadian cocktail was invented in 1969 by Walter Chell, restaurant manager at the Calgary Inn (now the Westin Hotel), as a signature drink for the hotel's new Italian restaurant. Today, you can find Caesars being poured at bars and restaurants across the city.


70. Have a Beer, City Wide
    In recent years, Calgary has become a hotbed for high-quality craft beer and breweries. So next time you're at your neighbourhood pub or restaurant, order a pint of something local – you won't be disappointed.


71. Helicopter Playground, Hillhurst
    This large, modern playground includes a unique helicopter climber that kids love. The location is adjacent to a large playing field and near the pathways along the Bow River.


72. Heritage Park, Chinook Park / Haysboro / Pumphill
    Heritage Park is Canada's largest living-history museum, with 180 attractions and exhibits that explore the settlement of Western Canada, not to mention thousands of artifacts. Among the attractions are an 1880s-era pre-railway settlement and a prairie railway town, circa 1910. A steam locomotive also runs around the park.


73. Hide N Seek Indoor Playground, Calgary International Airport
    A jungle-themed indoor playground containing eight private party rooms, a separate toddler area and a massive soft-walled climbing wall with a huge slide.


74. Huntington Hills Community Centre, Huntington Hills
    A variety of recreation and leisure programs are available here, such as a pre-school program, before- and after-school care, yoga, Pilates and karate classes.


75. Independent Film, Downtown
    Independent and alternative film lovers can usually catch a flick that's a little bit different at the Globe Cinema or Plaza Theatre. There are also a number of festivals in the city during the year, including the Calgary Underground Film Festival and the Calgary International Film Festival.


76. Inglewood Bird Sanctuary & Nature Centre, Inglewood
    The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary is a wildlife park offering "migratory birds a place to rest their wings." The on-site nature centre has interpretive exhibits and information about local wildlife. To date, 270 species of birds have been recorded at the sanctuary.


77. Inside Avenue Antiques, Highfield
    Inside Avenue is a large antique mall with more than 50 vendors selling antiques, collectibles and memorabilia.


78. International Avenue / 17th Avenue S.E., Forest Lawn
    This business revitalization zone (BRZ) is home to a vibrant and ethnically diverse business district that includes a wide selection of restaurants and grocery stores from around the world.


79. Kensington BRZ, Sunnyside / Hillhurst
    Kensington offers a perfect blend of gastro-pubs, cafes and coffee stops, funky and unique boutiques, movie theatres, and family friendly restaurants for all to enjoy.


80. Kerby Centre, Downtown
    The Kerby Centre is a not-for-profit organization that aims to enhance the lives of older adults through a variety of services, information and programming. It served 24,869 Calgarians in 2016.


81. Leighton Art Centre, Rural
    Located just outside the city, with views of the foothills and the Rocky Mountains, the centre "connects visitors to art, history, and landscape" through year-round arts programming. It was originally home to artists A.C. and Barbara Leighton.


82. Lunchbox Theatre, Downtown
    Located at the base of the Calgary Tower, Lunchbox Theatre is dedicated to producing and staging original one-act plays, often for lunch-time audiences. It's a Calgary institution, having been serving up noon-hour theatre for more than 40 years.


83. Lougheed House, Beltline
    A national and provincial historic site, the Lougheed House was built in 1891 for Senator James Lougheed and his family. Beautiful gardens surround the restored mansion, which also features a restaurant and public programming.


84. Lindsay Park, Erlton
    This green space, nestled in a bend of the Elbow River, is home to a number of popular pathways, as well as the Repsol Sports Centre, a multi-sport complex run by the non-profit Lindsay Park Sports Society.


85. MacEwan Hall, University of Calgary
    Features shows by both big name acts and lesser known performers to students and the general public.


86. Marda Loop BRZ, South Calgary / Altadore
    Marda Loop shopping and dining district, particularly the portion that stretches along 33rd Avenue, is populated with funky shops, services and eateries that are perfect for a weekend stroll.


87. Market Mall, Varsity
    One of the largest malls in Calgary, with a great selection of stores, underground parking and a huge food court.


88. Max Bell Centre Arenas, Alberta Park - Radisson Heights
    The hockey arenas in Max Bell Centre offer rinks for community hockey teams. The Max Bell Centre also hosts trades shows and special events throughout the year.


89. McHugh Bluff, Rosedale / Crescent Heights
    The birthplace of Calgary, Fort Calgary is a national historic site that marks the spot where the North West Mounted Police built a fort in 1875 at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers. Exhibits on site bring Calgary's history to life.


90. McMahon Stadium
    Home of the Calgary Stampeders football team, it has a vintage feel and friendly fan atmosphere that make games a great outing for the entire family.
